Pesticides are known not just for its efficacy in dealing pests in houses, buildings, lawns and gardens. However, pesticides are chemicals that potentially impose damage and harm to you and other family members, and even to your plants and pets.

There are two ways on how to combat infestation: You can either hire a professional service like Springfield MO Pest&Bug Services that use safe and effective chemicals or create your natural pesticides at home. While the latter entails some time and effort, they are as effective as the chemicals you use.

We gathered safe and natural remedies for bugs and pests that you can try at home. These are all safe and effective both in your house kitchen and garden

  1. Garlic

Garlic is an effective alternative because they have a pungent aroma, which effectively repels some type of pests. Their natural pungency is also not harmful to humans, making it a safe insecticide.

For this mix, you will need 1 head of garlic, 2 cups water, 1 tablespoon dish soap, and 2 tablespoons of mineral and/or vegetable oil. You will also need a blender or a food processor, and an empty spray bottle for a container.

Note: Avoid using dish soap that contains bleach.

To prepare, peel all the garlic cloves and puree together with the water, dish soap, and your oil. Let the mixture sit overnight and strain.

Spray on the infested plants.

You can also use onion as a garlic substitute for this spray.

  1. Baking soda

Baking soda is known for its cleaning properties. There are two ways to prepare a baking soda mixture. You can use it as the main ingredient for a spray insect repellant, or you can also use its raw powder directly.

For a spray mixture, you will need 2 tablespoons of baking soda, 2 quarts of water, 1 teaspoon of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. You also need an empty spray bottle for a container.

Note: Avoid using dish soap that contains bleach.

To prepare, pour all the ingredients and mix them in the empty spray bottle. Mix thoroughly until the baking soda blends well with the other ingredients.

Spray on the infected plants/ kitchen areas.

Aside from a spray mixture, you can pour the baking soda (mixed with powdered sugar in 1:1 ratio) directly to the infested areas. Wait until pests disappear.

  1. Chili and pepper

Just like the garlic/onion spray mix, chili peppers are a great ingredient to repel insects and pests. The hotter the pepper is, the better and more effective it is to repel different types of insects.

For this mix, you will need 2 cups of water, 1/2 cup of chopped hot peppers (you can also directly blend or puree the peppers), and 2 tablespoons of dish soap.

Note: Avoid using dish soap that contains bleach.

To prepare, puree all the ingredients except the dish soap, and let it sit overnight. Strain and pour the dish soap into the spray bottle.

Note: chili peppers may burn your skin so it is advised that you use hand gloves while preparing and using the spray mix.

Questions to Ask When Looking for a Reliable Roofer

It’s always hard to look for a reliable company. It does not matter what service you need. This is particularly true in this digital age. With just a couple of keystrokes, Google can offer you tons of results.

If a search engine comes up with millions of results, how can you ensure you have found the right roofer? Well, the truth is that you cannot.

However, you can always narrow down your options. This is particularly true if you know how to do it. So, if you’re searching for professional Boise roofers, here are several questions you should ask to help you narrow down your options:

Ask About Obligation and Pricing

Nowadays, a lot of roofing companies offer free roof inspection. However, some of them have strings attached. Because of this, you’ve got to ensure the company you hire is honest and upfront about their pricing or if it’s really “no-obligation”.

Ask About Safety

If you ask this question, your potential roofer should be able to answer easily and quickly. The reason for this is that they need to have their safety practices the same at every roofing project they do. Thus, they should always remember what they’ve got to do to ensure safety.

In addition to that, excellent signs of a reliable and quality roofer are licensure, insurance, and safety. You do not want to be cutting any corners when it comes to your roof inspection’s quality.

Ask About Their History

If a roofer has a long history, there is a high possibility that they always provide quality services. The reason for this is that a roofer who treats their clients poorly or offers low-quality services will not survive for many years. While there are definitely great, young roofers out there, it’s always ideal to start with a roofer with an excellent experience. This is particularly true if you’ve got a tight budget.

One way to learn the history of a roofing company is to visit their official website and read their “about us” page. This is also a great time to read their reviews online. You can do this by visiting their website or their social media pages.

You can even ask the community about the company if it has been around for decades. This will help you get a general feel of how they run and what the community thinks about them.

Ask About Reviews

Keep in mind that a company will not change its way of operation if it got bad reviews. obviously, things can go wrong sometimes. You may find 1-2 negative reviews. However, it’s important to ensure that the general response is a good one. This will offer you peace of mind.

In addition to that, you should see how the roofer responded to these negative reviews. Was the roofer rude or polite? Did he make things right? Did he respond at all?

A roofer who does not respond to reviews may not be extremely serious about their reputation. Of course, you do not want this type of roofer.

Renting a Limousine

Renting the best limousine frequently varies on how far you are going, number of hours would require it, number of individuals, and the type of occasion. Almost every firm would ask what even the car is for, and they might focus on particular events to give you the best experience possible. The more information you could give and if you are really prepared, the more service and value you could expect to get.

  1. Choose when you would rent the limousine

For hiring Fayetteville NC limo services, the peak season is early summer. You would likely be able to get a cheaper price if you rent a limousine outside the months of June or May. You are also probably getting a cheaper price on weekdays.

  • Typically, Sunday up to Thursday are the cheapest days, while Fridays are around 20% lesser than Saturday. Almost every limousine company have hourly rates on Saturday and Friday nights.
  • Events you might like to hire a limousine for include special events, client meetings, proms, A to B transfers, concerts, wine or city tours, bachelorette parties, day trips or night outs, weddings, and airport transfers. Almost all limo firms have unique airport transfer fees and unique A to B fees.
  1. Look for a limousine service firm

Contact a selection of firms and get written estimates for your event once you know what you like. You could look in an online local directory or in other directories like yellow pages. But, a good way to look for a satisfying limousine service is through word of mouth.

  • Try asking co-workers, friends, or family members if they have utilized a limousine service they were satisfied with.
  1. Know the credentials of the company

Make sure that the firm has valid certificate. Ask if the firm has professionally trained drivers and liability insurance. Also, you might want to ask if they’re a member of the NLA (National Limousine Association). Know how long the firm has been in the limousine business.

  • Ask to see evidence that the driver and firm have proper certification and license for commercial hire, with respect to federal, state, and local laws.
  • Ask if the driver of the company undergo formal criminal background examination and drug exams.
  1. Examine Reviews Online

Look for a service that has a great record of client satisfaction. Find comments that indicate that their service was professional, friendly, and showed up on time. Also, you could check the rating of the company with the Better Business Bureau, and whether they have any bad record about that firm.

  1. Ask about deals and packages

Many limousine firms provide unique packages that are based on the type of event. For instance, a prom package might include goodie bags, cake, and non-alcoholic drinks. Ask what are the available deals or packages and what is included in every package.

  • Weigh the value and price carefully of the “extras” of the package. Same as to hotel deals for unique events, it would probably be wiser to bring additional food yourself.
