The first time was amazing,
Being from the UK (Scotland) it's hard to get to the wwe (wwf at the time) house shows, like raw, and smackdown, but every so often i go to visit my aunt kate in Florida, and if im lucky then there will be a show on the same time im there, but it doesnt happen often, 1t was 6 years ago in 1997, i was in florida on a vacation at my aunts place, and it just so happend raw is war was to be held on that same week, there wasnt really a chance for me to get tickets, being so late, but my cousin john, being as big a wrestling fan as i am now (at the time) already had 3 tickets, but him being a little order than i was, already had plans to go with a few of his friends, but then he decided he'd rather take me and my little brother (i think he felt sorry for me) So that was me..... a week into my holiday and there i was in the arena, a place iv never been before, this was my first ever time at a raw is war event, iv only ever been to a few that have came to the uk before this, so you could probably tell how exited i got, we where pretty close to the ring, about 5 rows back, behind the comentators desk, we could here Jim ross, and Vince mcmahon commentating pretty clearly, when the arena was quite, raw got underway, and i was hoping i would see my favorate shawn michaels, sadly though he hadnt appeared on the show and i was a big upset, but i guess i was happy in a way because Rocky Mivia(at the time) had beaten bret hart......the show had ended and we where fighting to get past the crowds, when i saw him, heading to his limo, SHAWN MICHAELS, alot of the girls started running towards him, and so did the guys, i wanted to run but it felt like my knees just got weak but i managed to make a move, but he just got in the car and that was him, without signing an autograph, and at this time i really was upset, i went home and i sat and looked at the poster on my cousins wall in his bedroom, and i felt like ripping it down, it was shawn michaels, it felt like my hero just abandoned me....
A few days later all 7 of us (Me, My Mum, My sister,My Little brother, My Big Brother,My Cousin and my Aunt) all went down to a beach in Minneola Not far from where we where staying, it was a great day, the sun was out, my older brother was treating us all to some ice cream, i didnt really like it much but still eat it i was boiling hot, my mum and aunt started sunbathing whilst the rest off us got down to a game of beach voly ball, after about half an hour we got to sweaty so we all went for a swim in the water, it wasnt very clean, there was seewead everywhere, and jellyfish, it didnt look good but it kept us cool. About 25 minutes later, we where still having fun in the water, then i heard someone shouting "Andy Andy" i could just make it out, my mum and aunt where standing on the beach waving for me to go to them so i did, i ran up to them, and the pointed over to a figure lieing on the beach, with a girl beside him, i looked over and i saw him, "it wouldnt be" i thought to myself, i had to get a closer look, i walked up to them, they had their eyes shut, i couldnt move, i recognised who it was, i was standing in front of this pair of people the women i didnt recognise, Then they guy opened his eyes, and he looked at me, still standing their, wanting to say something but was just standing in the same spot, hesat up and said "HEY" that word just shook me up, it was amzing i was standing in front of my long time idol SHAWN MICHAELS! my heart was thumping like crazy i didnt know what to say, i just stood their looking at him, i was angry from him just walking away from all his fans a few days later, but at the same time i was dead exited, my cousin walked up to us, and he looked at shawn and he said "Can i have your autograph" Shawn smiled and said "Suer if you gotta pen" my cousin ran over to where my mum and autn was standing and pulled a pen out of 1 of their bags then returned, shawn reached into his bag and he puleld out a photo of himself in the ring and he signed it, then he looked at me and said "you want 1 too" i just knodded my head, the lady beside him must have been asleep as she looked like she just woke up when she opened her eyes, she looked at me and smiled, i managed to utter my first words to shawn and i said " would you mind if i take a few photos" he smiled and said "sure go ahead" then i said "i'll be right back i need to get teh camera" so then i ran over to my mum and pulled my sisiers camera out the bag, by this time, everyone was gatherd around beside my mum and aunt (them not being wrestling fans only me and my cousin was at the time, and my little brother watched it because he loved austin) i ran back with the camera, and it didnt have a spoll in it, i looked a bit embaressed but told shawn i'll be right back, then i ran back to my mum and asked her for a spool, being on holiday meant she carryes lots, so i knew she'd have 1, she took it out her bag, i went back this time my older sisiter came accross with me, and i was surpised when she asked for shawns autorgraph, then got me to take a photo of her sitting with him, then i had about a 5 minute photo setion with shawn michaels, i was acctually shocked i heard celebritys dont do that for fans, i got great photos, i even had 1 of me jumping on shawn, and another of him imitating a sweet chin music on me, at the end of it all, he smiled and said "nice meeting ya kid" then he shook my hand and i walked away, i just sat watching over at shawn as the crowds started to pour in, and he sat their signing autographs, it was amzing, i completly forgot what happend a few days erlier, and i thought that mabey he was in a hurry, with shawn being a heel at the time in the ring, i released that shawn loved every fan,.... And that was my first ever meeting with shawn and i wouldnt ever change it!
Im sorry i dont have the pictures on the net, i had them elaminated and framed before i got my computer, but i still have the one of my sisiter and shawn, which is on my computer, so if anyone wants to see the day at the beach then email me! This story is 100% true, and not 1 bit of it is false...if you dont belive me thats your choice im not asking you to, but i know it happened, and with it happening it was 1 day i'll never forget!
