Hi! I met Shawn Michaels on June 22nd in Wayne, NJ. Ever since the first day
that I read he was going to be there, I really really really really wanted to
go! I had met a few wrestlers before, like Crowbar and Mick Foley, but Shawn
would have been better than both of them combined!
Well, after begging my dad to take me, he, my brother and I went to
the Wayne Town Mall. I was really nervous because I thought that something
would go bad and we wouldn't end up meeting him. The whole reason for this was because we had tried meeting Hunter in Madison Square Garden before but we were too late. So that's the main reason why I was so nervous.
We got to the mall at two-thirty, which was good, because Shawn wasn't
scheduled to be there until four, so we had plenty of time. We went into the
mall, and although there had been a sign outside announcing HBK's later
appearance, the mall was very empty and I thought we were in the wrong place,
but we weren't. After doing very little walking we found GT Sports Collectibles, and on the window it said that Shawn was going to be there from four to six. We were very early, in fact, the only people lined up were inside the store. So we went in and decided to get a picture with him (of course I would!!!), and so we got a token to hold on to.
The wait was an hour and ten minutes, but it was more than worth it!
At first, some guy who looked exactly like HBK came in and everyone thought it was him, but it turned out it wasn't. The real HBK came at four and everyone started clapping and I knew that this was it, I was really going to meet Shawn Michaels! At first I couldn't find him, he had a hat and sunglasses on and my brother was saying he had a blue shirt on but so did some guy next to him! I finally saw him and wow! The line went fast, and with each step it came closer to my turn. Finally, it was! Let me tell you, he is a trillion times hotter in person than on TV! He asked me how I was, and all I could say was good. My legs were rubbery, but I managed to go up for the picture!
I got to hug him for the picture, and since the lady who was taking
the pictures took a little long, I got to hug him longer! All in all, it was
absolutely amazing! It seemed to go too fast, and it still doesn't even seem
like it happened! Shawn was very sweet to everyone and it was definitely a day I will never forget! Thanks for listening to my story! I'll try to get my
