There is a man who has beat overwhelming odds,
Just to perform at his so called job.
But as we all know right from the start,
It was all that this man had in his giving heart.
It was a dream of his to give us his all,
The best that he could, through his rise and his fall.
And then he told us how he felt, as tears swelled up in his eyes,
How he had thought that he lost his smile, and that's when I realized.
The heartache and sorrow that this man had been through,
Just so he could bring entertainment to me and to you.
He was man enough to know when the time had come,
To hang up his belt and find his way home.
To go home again and regain his smile,
To learn again why this was so worthwhile.
And when we all thought that he was down and out.
He came back stronger than ever without a doubt!
But because of the courage and the strength and the caring,
Because of the pain and the joys and the daring,
And because of this man we all know as "HBK"
World Wrestling would not be as it is today.
