Hello Everybody,
Sorry it has been so long since the last column.I see that there are a lot of questions out there , so I will take this time to answer as many as I can.
The first and most frequent seems to be , What is "The Official Spokesperson for the WWF?" Well it has two different meanings. From a television standpoint I will be the voice of Linda McMahon. For instance, a possible scenario. The McMahon-Helmsley group are up to no good. Then a new Commissioner appears to put them in line, or so we think. It turns out the Commish is in cahoots with the M-H folks and in steps the boss' right hand man. Or vice versa. I guess what I am trying to say is that, if needed, I can step in (so Linda does not have to travel and can concentrate on her job)and still be able to lay down the law.
The other side is this. I am in fact the REAL spokesperson for the WWF. I see a lot of people asking what am I going to do, autographs, photo shoots. Yes. But what you do not understand is that I am the official spokesperson for WWFE. That "E" means an awful lot. The WWFE is getting into a number of other businesses other than wrestling. They are going to need someone to inform these businesses as to what the WWFE does. That person is me. Wrestling, Hollywood, XFL, Books, you name it the WWFE is getting into it. Who better to inform all of these folks as to what we are than yours truly? Well you might be able to think of someone better...but Vince couldn't. Plus it is something I have done for him and the company for years and have enjoyed it. Europe, Australia, and Asia to name a few. Plus, what a family vacation.
So the job is two fold. One for TV (if needed) and the other in reality. As far as me never being on TV again... well I'm not sure... that's not my choice. The only thing I know is I was offered a five year contract from my employer whom I would be thrilled to continue to work for in the future.
Bye bye,
Shawn
