Hey everybody,
I'm back. It's not going to be hard to figure out what to write about for this column. The Iron Man Match, obviously. As much as I would love to give you my opinion on the match, it seems as if the Internet folks have decided to ignore the match totally and talk about me. Have I still got it or what?
You have two of the biggest names in wrestling going at it for an hour and you instead decide to make up some story about the referee. Can someone please smarten these folks up? The whole "most controversial guy" thing is a work now.I used to be, now I'm just some dude who goes to work and does what my boss asks of me. Sorry to disappoint so many of you. I thought I've sort of made that clear now.
They say I'm disappointed in the job I did. Hell, if you ask me, I was one of the brightest parts of the show. But hell, that's just me. I'm truly sorry I don't look like a guy that trains everyday and stays on a strict diet , but I'll take Mommas big homecooked meals and chocolate chip cookies (that I eat, literally, everynight) any day.
You've got to understand, and I've said this a number of times. I'm not going, nor do I want to be the man I was back then.I love my life now just the way it is. I really am sorry if people want me to wrestle or be the showstopper and steal the spotlight. I'm not going to do it.I like playing a supporting role, helping where I can(such as helping out people in Iron Man Matches) and passing on what I have learned in the last 16 years. Not many people are lucky enough (or can put the ego aside) to be in that position and I enjoy it a great deal. I would take the life that I have now over anything else out there.
But like I said, If it's on the Internet....it's got to be true. On a side note.I do so love the fact that the Internet folks love to talk about me.
Hell, that way I'll never be forgotten.
See ya in the funny papers,
Bye bye,
Shawn
