Michaels comes to visit

Shawn Michaels was in town because he had an autograph signing session yesterday, so he stopped by the Staples Center to see his friends for the first time since SummerSlam.

Asked about his back, the Heartbreak Kid said, “It’s not bad. The adrenaline lasted for about a week; I didn’t feel anything. After a week it started to tighten up.”

But HBK said he’s feeling good enough that he’s already considering one more match.

“One more at WrestleMania, and then I think I’ll call it quits,” he said. “Actually, I don’t think; that’ll be it.”

In his time off, Michaels has gotten involved in his community, volunteering to help raise money for International Children’s Hope of San Antonio. On Oct.26, HBK will appear at University Bowling (12332 IH 10 in San Antonio) from 1 to 3 p.m. For a $5 donation, fans can get an autograph and a Polaroid with Michaels, and all proceeds benefit the children’s charity.

“It’s for kids in Honduras – these kids have nothing,” Michaels said. “We’re trying to get them a van to get them to and from the different churches.”
