Mankind rolled down to the ring in a casket which stays at ringside. Shawn enters and the match starts. Mankind hits a quick clothesline to send both men outside. Mankind takes off the mats on the concrete but gets drop-kicked and the mat falls on him. Shawn hits a cross body off the apron onto Mankind and repeatedly smashes his head into the concrete. Shawn throws Mick back in and hits a double ax handle off the top. Shawn nearly ends the match in 5 minutes with a clothesline, powerslam, and his excellent elbow drop all back to back. He goes for Sweet Chin Music but Mick bails outside. The two trade shots inside and Mick chokes Shawn but Shawn stomps on him. HBK's thrown over the top and Mick tries using the Spanish announce table but Shawn does a sick move.He suplexes Mick on the concrete and Micks knees get smashed onto the steel stairs. Crazy bump taken by Mick. Shawn clips the knee and smashes it into the casket. Mick comes back but gets put in a Figure 4. He breaks it and gets stuck in a half Boston crab but he escapes.Shawn goes for a crucifix turned into a Sunset Flip for 2. Mankind comes back and throws Shawn over the top. He takes a while to stab his knee with a sharp piece of something to get feeling back into it. He chokes out Shawn and tries ramming his knee into Shawn in the corner but Shawn moves and it hits the turnbuckle causing a lot of pain. Shawn hits punches but is sent to the turnbuckle and he lands upside down in the Tree of Woe. He got an elbow drop by Mick. Mick stomps at Shawn outside and goes for another knee ram but Shawn moves and his knee hits the stairs again. Shawn then drop toe holds Mick into the stairs. Shawn hits a suplex on Mick back in and hits a powerslam for 2. Shawn goes near Mick but gets stuck in the Mandible Claw!Mick charges HBK over the top but he holds it on.Shawn gets up still in the Claw and hits Mick with a chair. Mick still has it on so Shawn bites his hand. They fight back in where Shawn is again back dopped over the top rope and onto the concrete. Mick does a diving elbow onto Shawn off the apron and after, hits a swinging neckbreaker on the exposed concrete. Mick in control sends Shawn in and hits a double arm DDT for a close fall. He hits a pulling piledriver for 2. He rolls Shawn up in a cradle for 2. Hes crazy by now and starts ripping his hair out and yelling. He goes out and starts throwing chairs in the ring which the ref throws out. Mick is desperate to do something so he tries putting HBK in the casket but Shawn gets out. The two start trading shots before Shawn hit a flying forearm out of nowhere. He jumps up and goes up top to hit a cross body block and hits it for 2. He goes up top again but Mankind charges the Champ and HBK falls split legged on the top rope. The Champs in pain. Mick goes to the ring apron and on the second rope. He grabs Shawn by the waist and back suplexed him through the Spanish announce table! Shawn mostly went through the table and Mick barely landed it, meaning his knees had to suffer again. Surprisingly, the two men get up. Mick gets a steel chair and tries using it from off the top but Shawn Superkicked the chair right back into his face! He finally covers but only gets a 2! After almost a half an hour of violent, chaotic one on one action, Vader comes down but is taken down by Shawn. Paul Bearer comes and hits Shawn with the urn giving Shawn the disqualification win in 26 minutes. HBK's buddy Sid takes Vader backstage to fight and Mick tried puting Shawn in the casket but Undertaker was in there and he attacked Mankind.Shawn then celebrated. Despite not having that much of a storyline, these two gave one of the best performances ever. The bumps taken by both men were absolutely violent. After some of the bigger spots in the match, you had to wonder who would win, let alone survive. The only negative in this match was a DQ finish. Otherwise, you have to put this match as one of the best in both Micks and Shawns career. And when talking about violent matches like Royal Rumble 2000 or King of the Ring 1998, this is right alongside it.
